Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effect of corporate culture variables (initiative and tolerance to risk, direction and target, integration and communication pattern, support and management supervision, identity, system of reward, and tolerance to conflict) both simultaneously and partially on employees’ level of commitment to Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. In order to achieve these objectives an explanatory research was conducted using a staratified random sampling of 51 staff of Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang. Data for the study were collected by means of questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data is analyzed by multiple regression technique with F-test and t-test of alpha 5% to respond the goal. Result of regression analysis using staff commitment as dependent variable on corporate culture variables show that (1) simultaneously, corporate culture variables have significant effects on staff commitment of Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang and (2) partially, however, only the variable of tolerance to conflict, had no significant influence on staff commitment in Pangeran Beach Hotel Padang.
