Abstract

Organizational cuture will function optimally if all of organizational members have the same perception toward culture and strong will to participate in culture. However, this condition slightly appers at Politeknik Negeri Padang. The purpose of this research is to known and analyze the influence of organizational culture and competency to employee’s performance at Politeknik Negeri Padang both simultaneously and partially. Theory which is used in this research is organizational culture from Robbins (attention to detail, outcome orientation, people orientation, team orientation, agresiveness, and stability). Performance theory taken from Bernardin and Russell (quality, quantity, timeliness, need for supervision, interpersonal impact). Type of this research is description- verification by using a survey method. Iteration method is used to obtain sample size (60 employees’) that allocated by propotional at Politeknik Negeri Padang. The result of descriptive research: organizational culture at level strong, and performance at enaugh level. The result verification research shows that at simultaneously the organizational culture (attention to detail, outcome orientation, people orientation, tean orientation, agresiveness, and stability) give significant effect to employee’s performance but at partial only attention on detail, outcome orientation give significant effect.
