Abstract

Mentoring can be defined as a process of developing and maintaining the relationship between junior and senior staff (mentor) intensively. Previous studies show that the staff those who have a mentor will be able to develop his career. This research attempts to find the empirical evidence of the relationship between mentoring, role stress and educational accountants. Respondents were selected from students of Master of Science on Accounting at Gadjah Mada University and data was collected through survey questionnaires. The questionnaires were distributed to 60 respondents while 47 of them were returned, and only 41 questionnaires can be analyzed. Moreover, the multiple regression was run to analyze the finding. The result shows that mentoring has positive relationship with performance.
