Abstract

Situational leadership style is based on the assumption that leaders need to change their behavior according to the level of readiness or maturity of subordinates / followers. While the principle motivation is to create conditions that can encourage each worker to perform his duties with a happy and satisfied. Appropriate leadership styles and motivation that will lead to higher job satisfaction for employees where job satisfaction is a general attitude towards work individu. This study aims to look at and analyze the effect of leadership style and work motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction Padang State Polytechnic. The theory used in this study is the Situational Leadership Styles of Hersey and Blanchard's. Work motivation theory of David McClellan, while Job Satisfaction theory of Lancaster. The method of analysis used is the method of verification (path analysis). By using the iterative process obtained a sample size of 54 employees are allocated proportionately to each unit of work. The results of the analysis showed that verification situational leadership style and work motivation either simultaneously or partially significant effect on employee Job Satisfaction Padang State Polytechnic
