Abstract

This research attempts to find the empirical evidence of the influence of mission attachment, public sectors motivation, and work environment on govemment employees' organizational commitment and performance. The data was collected through survey questionnaires in municipalities of West Sumatra Province. The questionnaires were distributed to 527 respondents while 314 of them were returned. In addition, only 221 questionnaires were usable to be analyzed. The answers of the respondents were analyzed by using multiple regression. The result shows that the influence of mission attachment, public sectors motivation, and feelings of appreciation statistically signifICant on government employees' organizational commitment and performance, besides the organizational commitment mediates the influence of mission attachment on performance
