Abstract

Since UU No. 40 2007 being put into effective all limited companies which undertake exploitation of natural resources are oblige to hold Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR is form company's sensitivity, interest and social Responsibility to take part in giving benefits against community and environment where the company operates. In this context, the company's mission to achieve profitability and sustainability growth will be place in line with company's Social Responsibility. PT Semen Padang implements CSR in two forms of program: Partnership Program (Program Kemitraan) and environmental Development Program (Program Bina Lingkungan). Partnership Program provides capital or soft loan credit and management empowerment to small and medium companies. It contains the spirit of CSR to give benefits to community by carrying out sustainability community empowerment; the environmental program is more ahead to corporate charity.
