Abstract

Sharia banking blooming is not balanced by availability of sufficient human resources due to knowledge gap. It can be overcome with proper training. On the other hand, to perform better, employee must possess motivation with the hereafter approach. Sharia banking industry should apply Islamic business values in its daily activity. This research examines such training and employee motivation that influence Islamic business values application. Theories are the Islamic perspectives such as Cecep Darmawan, Al Ghazali,and Yusuf Qardhawi. This census to 56 sharia banking staffs research used nonparametric statistic with Spearman’s rs and Kendall’s W as analysis tool. Statistics calculations show rs of training and motivation to Islamic business values application are 0,385 and 0,524 respectively, while concordance coefficient W is 0,727. Based on hypothesis testing this research concluded that training and motivation either partially or jointly have significant influence to Islamic business values application in sharia banking in Bukittinggi.
