Abstract

This research aimed to find the appropriate methods of softskills implementation in Accounting Department, Polytechnic State of Padang. As the concern on softskills growing up, softskills has become a compulsory skills demanded by the labor market nowadays. Therefore, Accounting Department of Polytechnic State of Padang initiate its preliminary step by aligning its vision and mision in accordance with softskills needed. The next step is planned by creating a set of curriculum that enable the development of softskills among the students. Further, to encourage the students to participate actively in softskills development, a bunch of students activities is equipped with softskills initiation. Perhaps, this effort is expected to be measurable and evaluable so that the softskills development in Accounting Department of PNP will run succesfully
